The shoe's waist is not very defined, nor the angle of its heel stack. These are both aesthetic features that many custom shoes offer.
Fausto Risiof Savoia offered me two options for how my waist would be finished: round or square.
I chose the rounded option. There is a nice shape at the waist and a subtle cut inwards on one side. This is often a sign that the sole is hand-made.
